Diplomacy

Licensed from Hasbro and developed by Paradox Interactive, Diplomacy is the digital recreation of the classic boardgame. Digital Wordsmithing was brought on board to assist with several aspects of the title, from promotional material to advertisements. For the game's appearance at E3 2005, Digital Wordsmithing created fact and selling sheets, assisted with press releases as well as some mock box text. After the convention, our company finalized the box text and worked with Paradox Interactive's graphics department in order to create a consistent theme and story. Additionally, work was done on promotional material, which included the official website's "virtual avatar," an interactive character that responds to readers' inquiries. Digital Wordsmithing edited the character's responses while rephrasing the language to more closely mimic North American dialects. The title is still in production, with Digital Wordsmithing slated to edit the manual.
